car makes clicking noise when turning sharp! is that DANGEROUS

I have a old 1991 MAZDA 323 98K mileage and it always runs well.
But when I turn around or do a sharp turn I get the old click! click!
click! clicking noise Ive been told its just the joints/
Suspension....but is it DANGEROUS to drive?.

Its been clicking now for two years.

It is most likely one or both CV joints.

Brakes can do it, but the CV joints are most likely.
If one of them should break while you are moving at highway or freeway
speed, it could
be dangerous.

That would be CV joints most likely. Since they move around so much
with the car bouncing and wheels turning they have a rubber boot on
them to keep the grease in and dirt out. Normally what happens is
these boots crack and let the grease out then the dirt gets in and
chews up the joints.

If it has been doing it for two years you really should get it checked
out. They can fail which would be a bad thing at hiway speed or in
the pouring rain at 2 in the morning.

Just don't go on any long trips. :-)

If you do your own work a CV joint is usually pretty easy - you just pull
out the
axle on that side and take it to your local parts place and get a rebuilt
unit.
