Default 98 SOHC Racing/Super fast Idle

My 98 Explorer with SOHC motor will race when in park or neutral and the
symptom is erratic where it doesn't always do this.

Anyone here experience this and fix it?

u might want to get a read on your codes. Some sort of air leak most likely.
