Default World War Three has started

There won't be a WWIII in the foreseeable future, the reason is simple:
War needs two sides, but there are only one side that is capable of
fighting a world war, the other big powers, such as Russia and China,
they are strong, but they lack the necessary power projection
capabilities to really do anything to the US other than when US is
poking its militarily head into their sphere of influence, but the US
will not try to invade either of those two countries or threat their
vital national interest so severely that the only course they can take
is to enter a war with the US, let's say the US decide to invade Iran,
there isn't' much Russia or China can do even if they want to send
troops to Iran to fight the Americans, of course, they have ballistic
missiles, but I'm pretty sure that either of them want to risk their
own destruction for Iran by starting a nuclear exchange, the previous
two world wars happened because so many great powers were situated so
close to each other, therefore, when there were colonies to fight
about, they will be able to settle their differences in the far-away
land, they were fighting a war, but they were fighting a limited war
far from their homeland, that's what Britain and France did, at the
beginning of the last century, Germany can only fight effectively in
Europe, and continental Europe was of vial interest to Britain, France
and Russia, and don't forget the prevailing ideology then, especially
in Germany, demanded the war to be fought as total war, and the outcome
of war would be the total victory by one side and destruction by
another side, so the war became not a way to settle who got how much
profit/colony, instead, it became fundamental to the survival of a
nation state, that's why world wars happened, currently, there is no
serious overlap of vital national interest among major powers that
require settlement through war, and either Russia, China, US or the
European powers see their survival dependant on the subjugation of
others, sure, some small nations may think otherwise, but without the
direct involvement of major powers on opposing side, there will be
unlikely that a regional war like the invasion of Iraq or the possible
invasion of Iran will turn out to be the end of the world.
