I have been on the Google Image site many times looking at car images.
I feel that the site would be improved to a great degree by having the
pages edited so that incorrectly labeled images can be removed from the
pages. This would make the process of finding a particular image
faster. Right now there are many pages for a particular car, but a lot
of the images are not of the car that you are looking for. Richard of C

You are right, there.
If you can find out to where corrections will be sent, we can try a few
to see if they are willing to fix it.

Doin't think that will happen, but I'm sure that most single-marque
clubs would be willing to help, too.

I am still getting used to using this site. I have looked up various
cars on the image site and have found errors on nearly everypage. I
have tried to contact Google about this but have got no reply. I guess
that are not worried about accuracy. I have gone on to some non
automotive topics and have found lots of errors there as well. Richard

Do not believe ANYTHING you read on your moniter!
Political stuff is even worse and can be found on most NGs, especially
auto ones!

==================================
New to the Internet, are we?

I feel your frustration, but the simple fact is that any idiot can put
up any picture (or document or whatever) with any caption or
description, true or false, and make it available for Google or any
other search engine to find and display.

You must remember that Google does not post the pictures or their
captions/descriptions. Google merely indexes them, automatically, and
presents them at your request. Any fault in the process lies with the
originators of the pictures or whatever files you have requested, and
in order to make corrections you (or Google) would have to be prepared
to deal individually with all of the millions of people who post
content. No organization-indeed, no government-can afford the
resources that would be required for such a job.

That's not Google's job or intent. It is up to the consumer to verify
Internet content.

Good luck with that. :-)

I am learning more about how the Google site works with this
discussion. Very interesting. Still I think it would be good to take it
to another level with some editing ability. Google is after all a large
company with more money than many countries. If they started out simply
as a retrieval service why not improve it a bit? Richard.

Okay here is a question if I have some photos of old cars and want to
put them on the Google Image site how do I do that? Richard
