States that "The item is no longer available for sale" is a valid reason
for killing an auction.

Since he traded the car in, it was no longer available for sale. <G>

I've done this on smaller auctions when an item sold locally. eBay
still took the listing fee, and the non-refundable portion of the
reserve, when applicable.

many thanks. so far so good, i still need to get 2 more trucks on the road.
the wifey loves the commander concept so ill probably get the other cummins
back from her when she gets one, and then its just a matter of finding a
third. course, the truck is only about half the cost....you gotta stock it
and tool it up and im just taking it one step at a time. i did hate to let
this factory ordered rubicon go, but i look at it as a sacrifice for now.

heh......i know there are a few good guys out there. the dodge salesman who
sold me all three of my dodge trucks has always been fair with me and i cant
complain. the jeep dealership that sold me my rubicon however (rimrock jeep
in billings montana) screwed me over worse than ive ever been screwed and
was able to fool me about it for a little while....i actually thought they
were helping me at first.

ive always wanted to do a cj8 project so coming across this one worked out
pretty well. i want to find a totaled 2500 hemi truck and swap over the
entire drivetrain, but have higher priorities right now. it will make for a
nice winter project this winter though...give me something to do.

the rules clearly state that you shouldnt cancel an auction in the last 12
hours. my description also clearly states that i may cancel early.
