RR7 looks more or less the same as RR6 on X360.

Really, neither RR6 nor RR7 seem like much of a leap beyond RR5 on PS2
which came out over 6 years ago in Japan, and was actually pretty much
completed in 1999.

still, as long as its 60fps, I will be getting RR7 because I love the
series for the most part.

btw, have a look at these screens from the 11-year old
arcade Rave Racer, the third game in the Ridge Racer series:

for 11 years ago, the texture-mapping does not look much worse, IMO,
than the current RR games, even the latest one on PS3.

Well, how far can driving games go? If you ask me Gran Turismo 3
(A-Spec) from 5 years ago has really good graphics.

Look at this picture you posted:

All that detailed architecture and foliage - for what!? You'll never
see it from the road. It's like they're grasping at straws to use up
polygons in any way possible.

Enough with the screenshots, I think I'd rather see realistic damage
modeling, more open-ended environments, and... I don't know what else.
It's hard for me to think of a reason to spend $60 on another driving game.
