can someone please post the codes for a 99 audi A4 - the codes that one can
use the remote lock/unlock etc. thru punching in the appropriate codes thru
the audi sound system

i am talking about the numbers that you can key into the cars comuter via
the keys of the audio system that can set all four doors to lock/unlock with
a sinble click of the remote as opposed to the 2 clicks as it does now. one
can dothis and many othe coustomizations ot the vehicle functions using a
sequence of buttons! i had seen this info on this newsgroup before1

Then do a search on Google Groups to find the old post with that info.

I don't believe that there is any way of performing this through the
audio system. There is a method of reading some values from the car's
sensors (eg speed) through the air conditioning system, but you can't
change any settings that way. In order to alter the locking behaviour,
you'll need a computer with VAG-COM, or similar.
