Ok,

I hear ya, about support, I guess.

But you paid $0.00 for a game that is simply a gfx &sound (some assumed
track grip changes and a few other tweaks maybe?) that updates the tried and
true 2k3 game (even as you see it) and I say woa.

Alas, they might have cut a corner, you pointed it out... that the picture
they used for the billboard is out of focus or something? or is it not the
right depiction of a possible bilboard in the turn or something?

But for what it is worth, I guess above and beyond all the hard work to the
sim, somehow he/they owe it to you to take his 20megabit camera to the
actual track, and take a snapsot of the sign, to make you happy?

Please read this in the light hearted but sarcastic tone I wrote it, I mean,
for each his or her own, ya know. I dont wanna sound like you can not have
an opinion, I merely want to make a point about the validity of the
complaint to myself. hell I aint tried sonoma, so maybe I will agree with
you, though knowing what 'matters to me' I doubt it...

....about those track grip changes....in NR2005 I can't get anywhere near a
fast lap at the Kansas Speedway without losing the back end - using the
easy, intermediate, or fast setups. Don't have that problem in NR2003.

I hear you, but I didn't have that problem 'as much,' once I picked the fast
setup. that host setup, wwow had me cussin at the machine enough to have
family come in and do an intervention, lol.

One thing I cannot say is it was 'easier' to drive. not on my machine, I've
always refused to turn on the aids. I only have run Kansas too, because I
live there I guess, lol. right now I been working 20 hr days at 2 jobs
where I have to 'be there' to monitor stuff (hence I can post to groups), so
it will be a while before I get more practice. My buddy got to do the
richard petty experience at Kansas, (fathers day present, and yeah Im
jealous as hell) he remarked that after the get the hans on you and stuff,
you cant even move your head... so he said that the sim (since you have
very little periphial vision on screen) was IHHO, might be pretty accurate,
sure wished he could "remove the cockpit" from the rearview mirror like we
can in the sim, LOL!

No, but perhaps some credit and gratitude to those who truly created
this "mod". But considering no one has stepped up to take credit for
compiling all the "borrowed" work, I guess that is pretty unlikely.

The <jasper> setup has 0 rear sway bar to correct the loose rear end - I'd
like to know what the real-world cars run at Kansas. Using <jasper> I'm
able to complete 4-5 laps before I lose the rear end.

I turned down the AI a few notches from where I run them in NR2003. It's
really dicey passing AI cars when your're so loose.

I've generally preferred road-course sims, so the increased difficulty of
NR2005 may get me to appreciate ovals more.
