Default LOOK OUT FOR STOLEN PLATES MA 7631TL

If you see these plates, please call police. They were stolen from my
vehicle in Leominster, MA.

They are Massachusetts passenger vehicle plates "7631TL".

Please report them to police as stolen if you see them.

This is not a joke, e-mail me if you have any questions. -Dave

I'm sure they're on a stolen vehicle by now. Why are you worried about
it?

I'm not worried about it at all. I know the odds of these criminals
bothering me again are about slim and none. However, when someone puts
stolen plates on a vehicle, said persons are planning to commit very serious
crimes with said vehicle. What are they going to do with a vehicle with
stolen plates MA "7631TL" on it? Rob a bank, kidnap someone's daughter,
murder somebody, or something along those lines. Bottom line, they want to
commit a felony of some kind and get away with it by using plates that can't
be traced to the perps.

I posted it as a warning to the rest of the world. If you see a car with
Massachusetts plates 7631TL, something big is about to go down, and you
won't like it much. So protect yourself by notifying police.

So as I wrote before, look out for stolen plates (MA) 7631TL. Report them
to police if you spot them. -Dave

I would certainly hope that you've posted this to MA specific groups
where it's more likely to be read by someone who may happen to have seen
it (and, no, I haven't seen any vehicle using MA plates down here).

Actually, from what the police told me, they are more likely to show up in
another state to be used on a vehicle during a felony of some kind. It
makes sense, if you think about it. Criminals aren't the brightest bulbs on
the tree, but who would steal license plates and then use those same plates
in the immediate area of where they were stolen? The odds of getting caught
would be too high. I'm guessing these plates are probably headed for NYC or
somewhere nearby. But that's just a wild guess. I figured the readers of
the driving group were from all over the country, so it's more likely that
these plates will be spotted.

In any case, it's better for the whole country to be aware that these plates
are stolen, as they will be used by criminals for future criminal activity
of some kind. -Dave

I had my plates stolen about 8 years ago from my car sitting in the parking lot
at work (in Rockville, Maryland). I reported it to the police, filed the
reports, etc. 2 years later, I got a parking ticket past-due-notice/summons
mailed to me for a vehicle with those plates for a citation that occurred 20
months after I reported the plates stolen. You would think they would figure
out that those plates were reported stolen either when issuing the ticket or
figuring out who owned the tags to mail the bills. Then when I called them to
say I reported those tags stolen 2 years ago, they demanded that I mail them a
copy of my police report. I tell them to go look it up themselves. They tell
me that if they want me to perform the lookup function themselves, that I would
incur a $15/hour secretarial fee for them to research the case. Bottom line,
keep a copy of your police report.
