Well obviously, why would the krauts pollute their fine cars with some
old pushrod engine from the 1950s?

"the Chrysler HEMI was born in the 1950s"

See, some old pushrod engine from the '50s.

Lets hope the krauts let you have one of their castoff engines to
power the re-badged Merkin Mercs.

"...and has been reborn in the 2000's."

Porsches were born in the 50's, and engles have nothing to catch them....
Corvettes were born in the 50's and engles have nothing to catch them....

Yet you have nothing to beat it for the price. Pushrod engines do what now,
340 mph in the quarter mile? How many engines at any price do you have to
equal that? Don't change the subject and start nattering on about land
speed records because no one here gives a ****. The subject is drag racing.
Got that? Now show us your best. Do you have anything able to pull a sick
whore off a ****pot?

England the home of fast cars.

Note how merkin racing cars have Engle engines...

"While the Ilmor name has only been in racing a relatively short time
(formed in 1983), it is already well entrenched in the record books as
a builder of winning engines. The engine-design/build specialists can
boast of winning seven Indy 500 races and powering six CART
Championship winners. Since 1986, Ilmor has won 116 out of 228 CART
races, a winning record of more than 50 percent!"

"the Ilmor-Chevrolet took 17 pole positions and 17 victories. It
doesn’t get any better than that!"

It is?

Didn't look like it in the bits that came across to me. Just talking about
cars, so who cares about drag racing? It's not even directly comparable to
the Traffic Lights Grand Prix, which is the nearest thing to racing of any
sort most people come to.

The only fast cars you have are bankrolled by Ford or Chevy. Morris Minors
are yer highest achievement on yer own....

We even took a handful of dragsters there to show you lot how its done. It
turned out to be well above your abilities and skills to replicate, so
you're forced to watch us push speed records higher every year....

Come on, now, Larry. I was just there and I saw a lot of Mercedes, Porsches,
BMWs. No Corvette C6s, tho.
