Default E34 water pump

I bought my '95 525 earlier this year. This is what I found when I
checked the water pump:

http://www.btinternet.com/~malchick/...ater_pump1.jpg (60k)
http://www.btinternet.com/~malchick/...ater_pump2.jpg (60k)
http://www.btinternet.com/~malchick/...ater_pump3.jpg (110k)

I expect that anyone who has an E34 5 series with the M50 engine knows
that the water pump can fail. If not, check your water pump if you
haven't already done so.

(Thanks to Mr John G Burns for his website, for the info there that
helped when I bought the car)

Yup, water pumps for your car is a 60K mile service requirement. Get a one
with a metal impeller. Laso makes a good one.....

Also, replace your theomstat housing while you're at it, its also made of
plastic. There's a metal one available.
