1954 MG TF

I just inherited a 1954 MG TF (1250cc)

1) Does anyone know of a reputable British Sports Car service shop in the
South Florida (Fort Lauderdale Area)

2) I have an oil (?) , maybe brake fluid (?) leak. The leak only occurs
right after I turn off the motor and the leak stops a few minutes after the
motor stops running.
I can see the droplets coming from under the oil filter (I think it's the
oil filter). However, I can not confirm the source of these drops.

This just started to happen. I have not yet checked my fluid levels to
determine where I am low (oil or brake fluid). I've had the car less than a
week. It has been in our family for over 50 years.

I'm not knowledgeable enough abour the XPAG engine in the TF to help
you on this (although I did have a Y type with the same engine), but I
recommend checking out the MG Enthusiasts website and bulletin board.
You will find some very helpful and knowledgeable fellow owners there
who can probably help you with locating service in your area and give
some direct troubleshooting advise.

Congrats! You've got a great car. Can't help with a shop, but
you need to get a parts catalog from MOSS MOTORS. You'll
find that MOSS carries almost any part you'll need for your car.
Their catalogs are free....they have a website.

p.s.-don't be too concerned with little oil leaks....as the saying goes
for Britmobiles, the only time they don't leak is when they have
no oil in them! Actaully, thats true for most older cars. A brake
fluid leak *is* something that needs to be addressed of course.
