Car Repainting Question

Hey there Loren Im a professional autobody man and painter.Make sure they remove all moldings door panels ect If there striping paint make sure they use vinylwash this goes into poar of the metal to better adher primer also has corrosion free qualities make sure they use a high build three part primer this will stop paint from sinking in after a while witch will cause you to loose shine and see any bodywork or sand scratches from striping.As far as finish looks it is very hard to get away from dust even if they have a great paint booth most show room finisher are from a lot of water sanding to remove inperfections and reclearing more watersanding 2000 sandpaper and lots of BBBBuffing! And one last thing make sure of paint Quality like dupont or global finishes Walk throught the body shop check make sure they have a clean in order paint booth make sure they have a air dryier and licensed painter !!! Good Luck oh yes price if just sand and paint no body work should be around $3.200 to $3.800 seeing how good paint including clear coat is around $400.00 good primer $160.00 a gallon plus material ect
