Radiator Fan Relay on 97 Chrysler van
For completeness, I found it. It is one the left (driver side) fender
on the inside near the horn. To get to it, the air filter and tubes must be disassembled. Its a couple of clamps and a few bolts. BTW, mine sucks. I am replacing this solid state relay for the fourth time. I had the diagnostics run by a reliable mechanic and it shows nothing wrong with the fans. Of course the diagnostic system only turns them off and on (something I tried with a 12v. lead and the proper pin on the fan plug. The "service advisor" at the local large Chrysler dealer says "replace both fans" because you can't tell which one "may" be bad. HOW's THAT FOR SERVICE ADVICE ! |
