Default Coolant Leak: Alfa 87 Graduate

Hi,
I am new to this group, I think I have a fairly easy question - I just
hope it's not what I think it is. Let me start by saying the car has
run beautifully all summer (I have had it for 3 years with no major
problems.

Ok, on a specially scorching day here in Tennessee I was idling my
Alfa for around 18 mins, when I finally started to drive my engine
coolant gauge shot up to the red. I immediately pulled over to
discover my engine coolant boiling. Turned off the engine until
everything cooled down, all seemed fine on the way home. Arriving home
I found my coolant poring out from the bottom of my engine. Looking
under the hood I could see it actually spewing out from the front
bottom of the engine. I have a feeling it is a blown head gasket....
but I am an amateur with a capital "A" so I am not entirely sure of
what I am looking at.

If any one has any information it would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Kevin Stone
