central locking stopping working...
.... suddenly. The only thing which works, when I press the button in
the keyring is the light, which still blinks, once or twice, as before. The doors', as well as the boot locks don't lock nor unlock. Any idea where I should look at for a start? 156 2.5v6 2001. -- Claude |

I think the range in mine is progressively going down, perhaps due to this. What happens when you open the door manually with the key? |

No I have'nt try that, but I will. I had no obvious reason, though, since the lights react as before. The difference is simply that the locks don't react. I don't hear any "unlocking" whir as before. Does this anwer your question? Tx for your answer. -- Claude |

There is problem with CL electricity, maybe fuse is dead, or some wire is unpluged? Regards Zol |

Every half a year or so this happens to mine too. Just open the driver door
with the key the all the other doors from the inside. After that it works again for another half a year. Another reason might be that you are in a place with a lot of radio frequencies or other electromagnetic noise.... Regards, Martin "Claude" > wrote in message ... > ... suddenly. After that it works again for another half a year. Actually, I got the problem fixed by simply opening the passenger door from the inside. After that, no problem. So far. It looks like the locking system does not "know" if the car is locked or not once in a while and does not do anything. Opening manually the passenger door may have "reset" it. Or it may be a coincidence, and I got an electrical disfunction... Martin> Another reason might be that you are in a place with a lot of Martin> radio frequencies or other electromagnetic noise.... Not that I know, but this is not to exclude. Tx, Martin! -- Claude Martin> Regards, Martin> Martin Martin> "Claude" > wrote in message Martin> ... >> ... suddenly. Hi,
I have a 33 that blows it's fuse every so often when the central locking gets a bit sticky. Might be worth looking at. Also had a fuse for air conditioning fan in the 155 go intermittent. Fine when it was cold but as soon as it warmed up the fan stopped again. So anything is possible :-) Nick Claude wrote: >>>>>>"Flipflops" == Flipflops > writes: > > > Flipflops> "Claude" > wrote in message > Flipflops> ... > >>>... suddenly.
