Default Reason nunber 187 why I love my Alfa

Was downtown the other night waiting at traffic lights, minding my own
business and a Celica rolled up next to me with 2 kiddies in it, revving and
doing other things that jap-car owners have to do to get noticed. I was more
than happy to oblige, of course so I force fed them some dust and never saw
them again lol

I love my 156

Shame your cars not force fed though eh ;-) Unlike some jap cars, whose
owners incidently can't rev their engines 'cause their autos.. and 'cause
they're far too cool for that

IMHO a better laugh is to race (and beat) them for 200 meters, better driver
as you are you have seen the speed trap ahead, lift your right foot, think
they win, they smile from ear-to-ear and FLASH, a speeding ticket is theirs.
I had that luck a few times and still smile thinking (and writing) about
it..............

Don't try it against a Jap RX8.

Unlikey to be driven by that kind of boy racer IMHO

And all the reviews I've read / seen, when practicality is taken out of the
equation, the RX8 and GT are damn close

I'm sorry but all this Japcrap that's going about, really fails to impress
me... I just picture these Imprezzas and Evos and Mazdas being pushed off a
conveyor belt and into a box. Not only that, but they all look like taxis to
me... Same as souped up Clios, Novas, Saxos and all the other townie
choices... Matchbox cars

Granted they have engines that push the car about pretty fast, but where's
the character? Where's the sexy curves inside? In the 1500 miles I've done
so far, I've seen ONE other 156 and ONE GTA. All the others are Subaru and
Mitsubishi that have so many wings and spoilers on them, they should stick
some NASA stickers on the sides and paint them white lol

Apologies to any jap car owners, this is just one man's opinion

I regularly see a slightly 'worn' 155 Widebody and a 33 16v on my
commute, without fail we flash / wave at each other.

Doesn't happen if you're driving Jap-crap.

(Having said that, the Impreza is, mechanically, the car that the 33 16v
P4 should have been)

This is why I love my quirky Italian cars - doesn't _have_ to be an
Alfa, I've had a flirtation with Fiat, and wouldn't mind a Lancia Beta
Volumex. In fact, once I've got the German heap of ****e running again,
I plan to flog it and track down a cheap 124 Spider again.

Sure it does... Ever driven a Mazda MX-5?

Steven
