Default Shipping Vintage Car to Canada

Has anyone (in Canada!) had experience bringing a Vintage car into Canada?
What's required to get it into the country?

I am looking for a '65 Mustang, and want to know what it would take if I
find one in the US.

Thanks in advance....

Michel.

Michel,
Check out www.riv.ca - the Registrar for Imported Vehicles. Pay special
note to the rules that US Customs has - you can lose everything at the
border because you failed to follow their _Export_ rules (even before you
get to deal with Canada Customs). Note that US Customs may require the
_actual_ ownership papers (not photocopies) 72 hours in advance.
Cheers!

In addition to checking with the Registrar of Imported Vehicles, do yourself
a favour and use an experienced carrier to bring it back to Canada. Mackie
Moving Systems and TFX Transport are two that I know of. Each one has a
website that you can find with a quick Google search.

Thanks to everyone who replied, both here and back channel. Great info, and
now I know were to get more details too.

Michel.
