Here in Florida,its REQUIRED that you have your lights on if it's raining.

What are Cal cops doing about DRLs?

In my Starlet, turning on the foglamps in heavy rain at night,
markedly increases visibility.

So will turning on the high beams at night in dry weather.
Any connection between these effects is left as an exercise
to the reader.
