The V6 is not available with the Selespeed system.

I bought the 1.9 JTD which has a fantastic engine (even more torque than the 3.2 V6!), superb handling, looks to die for and (on a more mundane level) is relatively cheap to run. How on earth did you get Alfa to loan you one for 2 weeks!!!! I had a hard enough time getting a test drive from my local dealerships. Hope you enjoy your tour of Europe - I'm sure you'll enjoy the 3.2V6. Why don't you drop the newsgroup a post when you get back and let us all know how you got on? Grahame. |

Hi all, my 147 1.6 TS 120BHP does the same from the very beginning. Initially I thought it was a bomb or something but after 14 months it has not yet exploded! I finally ended up to believe that it happens on dual zone climate control versions. Possibly there are 2 temperature sensors (each for every zone) and one relay which alternates every second between the 2 sensors (Only one analog channel on the ECU). That is a logical explanation I think. Best regards Paris Greece |

I asked about the sound from alfa mechanic. He said that it is the EGR
(exhaust gas recirculation) valve that ticks. The valve opens and closes depending on the engine's operating status. My Alfa GT (Nero Jamara, red leather, 17" (225/45R17). 1,9 JTD), does not
have that problem. I drove 16.000 k's up until now, and I haven't heard the sound you mentioned. Indeed it's a beautiful car, which is responded to me very often by fellow (Alfa) drivers. Let's hope the 2.4 JTD 20V will be put in the GT as well. Greetings Henk "MPL" > schreef in bericht ... > I asked about the sound from alfa mechanic.
