Default Taurus daytime driving lights

The daytime driving lights stay on even when the 97 Taurus is turned off.
The high beams do not seem to work either and the highbeam indicator is on
when the headlights are off. Any ideas???

Faulty Daytime Running Light module. For now, pull your "DRL" fuse (in the
engine compartment fuse/relay panel) so you don't flatten your battery.
The module or relay pack is located on the left front inner fender (or
*inside* the left front fender on some models). You can either buy another
failure-prone factory module or you can put in the turn signal DRL module
from www.webelectricproducts.com .
