'97 Olds Achieva - car stereo removal
Hey everyone,
I have a 1997 Olds Achieva and I am considering installing my Delphi XM Roady via the wired FM modulator. Basically, I just need to pop the head unit out and switch the antenna wires around (yes, I realize there is more to it, but that's not the issue). Two chain stores have quoted me $70 for the installation, and a local store quoted me $150. I can't afford to pay that much for something that is so simple. However, I'm a bit perplexed as to how the head unit comes out. Do I need to disassemble a massive portion of the dash (as it would appear at first glance) or is there a way to just expose the screws and pop it out? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or, if you know a better place to ask this question, that would be great, too. Thanks! -Ben |
