I did. I still don't see your point. When they needed their lights, they
turned them on. When they didn't, they turned them off.

I haven't lost respect for it, I just realize how it applies to different
vehicles on the road. I'm hoping that these threads help spread that
information so that people who don't normally research traffic law will
understand.

Read it again. There are a number of instances where other vehicles were
forced to yield or got cut off while the lights were off.

Those who get privilege when the law becomes multi-tiered rarely do.

Double standards and multi-tiered laws giving certain people privilege
errode respect for the law in the long term.

No, it gives certain vehicles priority. No one is trying to cheat you out
of anything, regardless of how you are trying to twist this.

Cops, cops' families, senators, mayors, aldermen, FOP contributors, the
list of special favors regarding the vehicle code goes on.... And then
there is the parking ticket favors in chicago.... Those who benefit from
this system aren't ones to complain about it.
