Kudos to Rubicon Express!
I had a breakdown in the desert last weekend, and got some really
outstanding support from Rubicon Express. They really went out of their way to help. The problem was my YJ's U-bolts. I hadn't checked them in a long time, and they were loose. Things got a bit "squirrely" coming down a steep hill. At the bottom, I discovered the axle skewed, the centering pins sheared, and an angle wedge was missing. I'm really glad it happened on the dirt and not on the freeway. Knowing it would be next to impossible to find lift parts locally, I called Rubicon Express and ordered new ones. Here I am, out in the middle of the desert, and by some minor miracle my cell phone is working. This was 3:00 in the afternoon. I explained my situation, and RE got the parts out by overnight mail. The parts arrived 10:00 AM. By noon, I was back on the trail. This was truly exceptional. The RE people went out of their way to get me going again. I'll stop short of turning this message into an advertisement, but I want to give credit where it is due. I am very, very pleased. Thanks, John Morris Menlo Park, CA |

The next time that happens, you can put a bolt in the hole where that pin
goes, and this will be more than sufficient to get you home. I've been running an RE suspension since '02 and have been very pleased with
it. Great to hear about their improved product support. I haven't even purchased anything from them & am very happy with the
service. a couple of years ago I went to the shop & expressed my concern about highway handling of their long arm lift kit. I had determined from much reading & asking that most kits did well off road - but I had not seen or heard anything about highway handling. I asked if they had something like a demo or loaner vehicle that I might try before buying. They told me no.......but then one of the guys behind the counter (I believe his name was Paul) offered to let me drive his personal vehicle. I was impressed. I was very impressed & as soon as I get the money together, I am going back to make the purchase. -- Carlo F.
