Default Checking Fuel Injectors

96 Chevrolet C1500 1/2 ton truck, 4.3l 6 cyl

Hi, people

I am slowly trying to run down the cause of an intermittent misfire on
the truck above. It gets warm, then the MIL comes on and it starts
running bad. I have replaced plugs, wires, cap & rotor. The ignition
module checked out OK. Can't find any vacumn leak by physically
observing. When I pulled the plugs on Bank 2, they were all wet with
gas. I think this (extra gas) is being caused by the motor being in
open loop operation because of the MIL being lit, because the misfiring
doesn't start until it is warm. The MIL code is P0300 random multiple
misfire.

This misfire I suppose could be caused by a injector stuck open or
something along those lines. In order to test this, couldn't I switch
the two injectors (it is TBI) and see if the gas problem shows up on
the other bank?

If so, could someone give me the procedure to do this? I am not sure
what an injector looks like :-) Do you have to remove the throttle
body to get to them? The fuel lines enter the manifold behind the
throttle body, going into a thing that has a single bolt sticking up
between them. Is this the injectors?

Yes, I know this sounds dumb.

Thanks for helping a dumb girl,
Libby
