Default A handy tip for filling up your tank.

While filling up at a particularly slow pump, I discovered
that a stick of lip balm is the perfect size to keep the
fuel flowing while I wait in my truck warm and dry as the
tank fills.

I take it they have removed the handle locks in your area - bummer. I
suppose also the reason they did this is to make sure someone is always at
the pump - you may want to check the legality of leaving the pump
unattended.

I found in the rare instance around here with no handle locks that my gas
cap usually wedges in pretty well.

So what are they gonna do, keep you from paying for the gas and charge
you with "sticking lip balm in the handle?"

Personally, I find a reason to never use that station again.

Makes for a nice fireball when you reach for the nozzle and a static
sparks send the vapors a rollin'.

Yes it does. NEVER-EVER get in the car while pumping gas. Static discharge
creates quite a fireworks display!!
