With a stethoscope you could listen to the injector to see if its actuating. With a noid light you could check the injector harness connector for pulsing voltage. With an oscilloscope you could examine the injector voltage pattern or use an inductive amp probe to examine injector current ramping (Proffered method to test the injector). With a fuel system pressure test kit you could check injector flow using a pressure drop test. With a compression gage you could check the cylinder to make sure the miss is not due to a loss of compression problem. You could do a cylinder leak down test to determine where the cylinder is loosing compression if it is low. With no special equipment you could swap the injector over to a good cylinder and see if the problem moves with it, but that would require a lot of work and would be the hardest to do. A well equipped shop should be able to diagnose it for you in less than an hour if you don't have the necessary equipment.
