Not my 96 Civic. I replaced the radio immediately after purchase and the alarm works fine. -- Donald Rumsfeld: "If you're asking if there's a direct link between 9/11 and Iraq, the answer is no." http://msnbc.msn.com/id/4865948/ On May 01, 2003, President Bush declared that, "Major combat operations in Iraq have ended." What's cool is getting a couple of power actuator for the door, so that you can get remote/power locks after installing aftermarket alarm. Pars |

The Stealer said that the car did not come with an alarm. I was charged extra for air and the aftermarket M.A.T. alarm. -- Donald Rumsfeld: "If you're asking if there's a direct link between 9/11 and Iraq, the answer is no." http://msnbc.msn.com/id/4865948/ On May 01, 2003, President Bush declared that, "Major combat operations in Iraq have ended." I would probably recommend against it. My 98 Civic had about $800 of
problems over the first $120k miles before I traded it in. Most of the $800 was done at the exhorbitant dealer rates. I later found a shop in Boston (assuming from your name that that's where you are), that charges actual labor hours and not book hours, and they tend to run at 30% of the total price that Honda dealers charge, while still using factory parts. They were recommended by a few friends who used them for years. So I'd figure that my $800 in repairs would end up being $250. Their name is Hondaa King in Allston, by the way. I'm guessing you went to Boch during the purchase? I just bought a car there and in my experience they 1) had annoyingly pushy warranty people and 2) kept messing up paperwork during my purchase. They were the cheapest, but you just have to be rude with the warranty pushing people and tell them to shut up. -MVL |
