Actually, I am not a Republican. I just knew you would assume that. And
you won't find me defending Cheney's behavior, though an organized "protest"
during the State of the Union Address is worse than one person speaking
carelessly, IMHO.

That's impossible, as many of Bush's speeches have been much worse. I found
the foreign policy part to be very will written and pretty well delivered.
You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but there seems to be some
consensus supporting mine. Whatever.

Do you play one on TV?

I just knew you would assume that.

Would you please quit with the premonition and mind-reading? It makes it
very hard to argue when you already know the thoughts in my head before
I do.
Why don't you utilize this supernatural talent for something greater
than a usenet discussion?

I'll defend it, many people need to be told to go "F" themselves.
We are two of them, because we are discussing politics on a newsgroup
dedicated to Mazda Miatas, so I say, "go F yourself", to both of us. :-)

Have a good day,

he did lead us into war.
he did lead us into the highest debt in our history.
he did lead us into having our phone lines illegally tapped despite the
mechnism (and law) to do it legally.
and to make this automobile related... he did lead us into record high gas
prices.

You forgot one other thing he has lead us into - the
greatest gulf between the "haves" and "have nots" in our
Country since the era of the robber barons prior to the
depression.

Even if true (and you've provided no evidence), is the gap more important
than the actual living standards of the poor? If everyone gets better off,
but the gap widens, is that worse than everybody being worse off but the gap
narrowiing? Think about it.

It is not a matter of whether the gap is more important or not, the size
of this gap is directly related to the living standards of all people,
regardless of their income level.

Do you really think that the gap can keep widening without the poor
getting poorer and the rich getting richer? Do you really think that the
living condition of poor and middle-class people in the U.S. has
improved in the last 5 to 6 years under Shrub's leadership?

Have you ever studied history?

Here is a hint, it tends to repeat itself. When the have-nots reach a
certain low point, they rise up and eat the rich. This has been going on
throughout human history, and will continue.

Take a look a Mexico. A few very rich people, a huge number of very poor
people, and virtually no middle class.
THAT is the direction we are heading, and our poor and middle class are
not benfiting from it.

BTW, we both need to go **** ourselves again. This is r.a.m.m., not - is
Bush a good President or not and did you provide the evidence. -
"i.b.a.g.p.o.n.a.d.y.p.t.e."

Once again, I am guilty as charged, but I have a feeling that there are
about 5 people, ourselves included, reading this thread by now. Most
people here know how to use newsgroup filters.

Sorry you are so bored by this off-topic debate. Pehaps a moderated
group would be more to your liking?
Then you can have someone else censor what you read rather than choosing
for yourself, but at least the discussions will stay on topic.

Of course. Not that I favor that as a matter of principle.

Not sure. Are you? I don't suppose you'd care to provide evidence?

How often has that happened in a free society like ours? You can liken Bush
to Marie Antointette if you like, but doing so would be ridiculous.

You started it. You can stop it. Simply don't reply to this.

Or, if he does, you could not reply to him.

And, to interject my personal political opinion in here, I do think
$900 is too much for a distributor!
