If that were true, I might wonder. I wouldn't really care, but I might
wonder.

But since American cars sell fairly well worldwide (and Chrysler "50s
pushrod" engines have been used several successful British cars, plus
Ford and GM now own most of the European car builders), I neither wonder
nor care.

It's interesting to note that the sequence of marques you list are in exact
order of 'popularity' here, ranging from frequent beetles seen to almost
never a Peugeot seen. Of course Morrises aren't seen here AT ALL....
