Because its better than anything they build in Germany?
Because with sintered connecting rods, eutectic pistons, and about a
million other innovations its FAR from an "engine from the 1950s."

The funny thing is that, while the Brits seem hopeless at building 'mass'
cars (the best British sports car ever built is a Mazda MX5/Miata...) they
are very good at constructing racing cars... F1 is dominated by a cottage
industry in southern England, as you may know.

parts out of a wrecking yard in Luton. Here such operations are called chop
shops....

What kinda engines? What's the best quarter mile time?

We've had enough experience with trash engle cars to ever want any more
here. The few jugwares are owned by sissyboys and feckless females....
