Actually a turbocharger is defined as a supercharger that uses exhaust
gas to drive the turbine. From back when they were only found on
aircraft.

Check ebay you can get electric 12 and 24 volt electric fan units
sittign between the filter and the headers these days. want to overtake? hit
a switch and the fan comes on and you take off. want fuel economy not speed
or power? just turn the units off.
