Default 2004 VUE V6 AWD - looking for oil change help

I have a 2004 VUE, v6, AWD. I'd like to do my own
oil change, as I have done for all of my other vehicles,
but I haven't yet been able to find the oil filter!
I'll admit that I haven't looked real hard, but I did
spend a few minutes looking from the top, and also crawled
underneath (without jacking it up), and it hasn't jumped
out at me. Does this engine use a standard filter, or
is it one of those "cartridges" like has been discussed
for the Ion?

If anyone knows what type of filter it is, and where
it is located, I'd really appreciate the help. I haven't
looked for the drain plug yet, but I'm assuming (hoping)
that one will be obvious. :-)

Thanks!

-Joe

I'm honestly not sure Joe, but if I may suggest, all the information you
seek and much more, can be found in an auto repair manual for your car. Might
cost you $20 to buy one at a book store. That's pretty low cost.

To respond via e-mail, simply take the, "REMOVEXX" out of my return e-mail
address.
