Default Hatch ajar switch trouble, 93 SW

Just had a dead battery, aparently the hatch ajar switch acted up and
kept the hatch lite on for a week. In testing it will come on while
driving down the road.

Where is the hatch ajar switch located? The book didn't give a clue. I
thought I could see it if I opened the hatch but I see nothing but the
lock release cable. What does the switch look like?

Any help appreciated,
Nick
