Default Windsshield wipers will not work

I have a 96 Expoler. After an ice storm I tried turning on my wipers
(after the ice was cleared) and they did not work. They made one pass
and now are in the operated position in the middle of the windshield.
When I turn them on I hear a "click" under the hood. I see that there
is a motor mounted on the firewall on the right side and that is where
the "click" is coming from. My question is: how difficult is it to
replace the motor. I see three bults holding the motor to the
firewall. It seams easy but is anything I need to know such as having
special tools to get to the inkage etc...

Any help/advise would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Alex

This happens quite frequently. There is ice/snow on the linkage. Use a
hair dryer or heat gun down the vents to fix. Some people use hot
water, but that can freeze and cause more problems.
