159 Range - No Veloce Spec?
Hi all,
Apologies if this has already been debated and I've not noticed, but I was wondering if there was likely to be a sportier specification available for the 159? I've driven a couple of 159s, and was really impressed, although I was surprised that there was no longer a 'Veloce' specification. Any chance of this or a 'TI' version coming along later? I seem to remember the 156 going around roundabouts better, but the dealer's insisted on coming along on 159 test drives so I haven't had a chance to throw it around quite as much... I'm tempted by a red 2.2 JTS, probably in Lusso trim, unless the range changes. Anyone have any thoughts about the best version (by which I mean sensibly priced and not drinking too heavily)? What's the current thinking on depreciation? I'm planning to leave it a few months to see where the prices settle to (that and save enough to buy one in the first place, that is). Thanks alot, Mark. |

My dealer told me there would be a TI later when I asked exactly the same question. My 156 Veloce felt far more taut then the 159 I test drove. > I'm tempted by a red 2.2 JTS, probably in Lusso trim, unless the range > changes. The 1.9JTDM will be the one that sells the best and is the best value. Doesn't do it for me though. I would guess the 200bhp 2.4JTDm will be a better drive, but I'd prefer the V6 if it is anywhere near as good as the old V6! Just not for thirst and depreciation of course Cheers Tony |
