GT4 release date would appear to be 2/23

I got a call tonight from the EB around the corner explaining to me that
because I had prepurchased my copy of GT4 ($5 deposit basically) I was
now entitled to a special promotion being extended to all who prepaid. I
am able to go in and collect my copy of GT4 on the 22nd. A day before
the official release date to the "public". She went on to tell me that
all the stores got a call from Sony telling them that they can go ahead
with this promo to get the title moving. Because of the length of time
between the "first release date" of Jan/04 to now, a LOT of people
cancelled their preorder of the game and are going to be ****ed because
they are not getting as many copies as a result. Either way, it would
seem as though maybe an actual release date of 2/23 has been
scheduled........now this is in Canada, so I can't speak for all, but
it's ABOUT FREAKIN' TIME !!! Here's hoping my hot little hands
will be holding my copy in the next week......and maybe grab a Driving
Force Pro to drive it with.

The dates on EB's website are ship dates, store dates. That is, GT4 is
shipping on the 22nd and in most cases will be on store shelves on the
23rd. Although with GT4, I would expect the games to be shipping
earlier and actually put on shelves the 22nd or 23rd. I'm expecting
this thing to be a huge seller, and most big sellers ship ahead of time.
