Default Tax, Title, And Registration ?

Hello,

When "negotiating" for a new car, is it normal that the
agreed upon price include the tax, title, and registration costs, or are
these 3 items always just assumed to be the buyers', and tacked on after
the final overall price is "settled" upon ?

Thanks,
Bob

The dealer will attempt to tack on everything possible at the end unless
you specifically negotiate them in advance.

If the dealer says you can write them a $25,000 check and walk out with a
new car, and when you get there it's actually $26,500, walk out the door
to another dealer. But if they don't say specifically that, they will be
adding something else on, like a fee to clean the windshield and a fee to
balance the spare tire.

That's up to you to specify, in writing.

The only number that matters is the bottom line, everything included, out
the door. That's the number you need. And try to bring money in with you.
