Default Allen Wrench size for tranny

fixing to have to run to San Antonio to get parts, Can someone tell me
what size the drain plug Allen wrench size is. Hopefully someone will
reply back befor i go. tony

17mm.

i bought one from Sears BTW Tony that will fit the inside allen bolt in the
rear trailing arm of that IRS '69. look at the thing next time you are
under there. but the edges are kind of "peened" to keep it from backing out
i ended up just whacking it with a hammer to get the bolt out.

I thought you had finished the heater channel replacement? Or have you
had to replace the channels in both VW's? Just curious.
