Default Goldwing engine for Baja

Other than it has a built in gearbox and won't connect up to the VW
transaxle without major surgery, sure why not?

I think a 2.2L 16 valve Subaru engine would be a far more practical way to
go to make a Bug insanely fast.

They run in the $500 range from wrecking yards in the Portland area and put
out 135 HP. I don't know how much one weighs but I doubt it's much more
than a type 4 engine.
