Default Wheel Shimmy on 05' Civic

After having my tires rotated, I'm experiencing a shimmy starting at a little
over 40mph and maxing out around 50. Of course, I take it to Pep Boys (bad
move right off the bat), for a balance and actually watch the mechanic do it.
Well, the steering wheel still wobbles and PB says that they're balanced and
they can't do much more. What do I do now? Could it be something other than
the tire balance? Thanks.

Problem started when you moved the tires from the rear to the front.
You now have a bad tire on the front. Move them front to back one side
at a time then drive to find the bad one. More than likely a seperated
belt in one of the tires, or a bent wheel. Not a balance problem.
Always go back to the last action before the problem appeared and start
troubleshooting there. Let us know what you find.
Cheers

Thanks Steve. I did plan on re-rotating the tires, but your idea is better. I
should try to narrow the problem down as this is my son's car and I don't
want to jeopardize his life if it's a bad tire. FWIW, they're fairly expensive
Pirelli's on TSW rims. If it's a bad tire or rim, that would certainly **** me off
considering the money I paid!
