Default 2001 147 - adding a cd changer

Hi,

Anyone ever added a cd auto changer to their existing stereo. I have a sony
10 disk changer which i want to use. Would this be possible or do a need a
"Special" kind of changer ?

Also, is the wiring for the changer already in place ?

TIA
Ash

I believe, could be wrong, that the cable is part of the wiring loom and
should be found under the boot carpet , on the offside.

Has anyone actually found this cabling on a 147 (i've heard it exists
on the 156!). I had a good look around int he boot of my 2001 147 and
couldn't see it.

I too have a spare Blaupunkt changer from my last car which has been in
a cupboard for the last 3.5 yrs!

I had a Blaupunt changer built in afterwards in my 147 of 2003. There
was no pre-installed cable in the car. The cable was built in afterwards
when the changer was installed in the boot.
