Default Caravan, tire options?

I have a 2000 Caravan Sport with 16" Alloy rims with stock tires on it. I
want a 2nd set of rims to put winter tires on instead of having the tires
switched on the alloy rims at $40.00 a "pop" twice a year. No junkyard in
the area has 16" steel wheels, I'm not about to pay the price for new steel
wheels, or for used alloys but I was able to find a set of 15" steel wheels.
Does anyone know what the proper width tire comes on this vehicle with 15"
tires from the factory?

Thanks,
Snyde

I have a 99 Dodge Grand Caravan with 15" wheels. The standard tire size is
P215/65R15.

I hope this helps.

And 215 70 14 tires also fit. 205 70 14 is less than 1/2 inch lower
diameter than the stick 16" tires.

Sorry I reply at the top, but that is just the way I am.

Anyway, my stepdad just put tires on my van and we went with 225/60R15. I
had already a pair of these on the front. The difference is about 3% in
height, not a real difference if you ask me. Plus they are a little wider
giving the van a better stance and handling.

So you're aware that top-posting is for morons, but you CHOOSE to do it
anyway? Hmmmm....

Are you sure about that? Just putting wider tires on a vehicle does not
necessarily give it "better handling"... In fact, it can be dangerous.
