In my case had I obeyed the speed limit I would have been
rear-ended by an SUV while trying to get to my exit. I suppose
the chances are I would have survived, but I'd rather not get
hit. Speeding up from 45 to 55 avoided a collision at the cost
of disrupting traffic. 60 would have been a better speed.
