Default '94 Grand Cherokee TDC/Crankshaft sensor replacement, is Haynes wrong?

My friend and I were working on my Jeep to replace the Crankshaft
Position Sensor. I've been having the crank-but-no-start problem for a
little while and as far as I've been able to test, it's either this or
my car has a date with the bottom of a local cliff. However when we
got the spark plugs and heat shielding out of the way (like it
indicated in the Haynes manual we were reading) we couldn't figure out
where the stuipd thing is supposed to go. It's in a crowded area with
no view from top or bottom.

Are there any sites that describe the sensor a little more carefully or
show pictures? Mine is a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. V8 5.2L. Any
help would be great.
