Absolutely true. There are a lot of people in society that constantly
believe that thy can solve the problems of a complex society with some
simple rule.

When the complexity of society is pointed out to them and how there simple
rule will lead to disaster, they then still continue coming up with other
simple rules that also fail.

People are a lot smarter than rules. That is why we have judges who bring
an understanding of society to laws pushed by simple minded people that
think only with simple rules .
