Something I've wondered about doing myself, having only a puny 10 US
gallon (40 L) tank in my current and previous A1s. Even with good
MPG, the range is not very great, barely 300 miles. In the case of my
'83 rocco, the full-size spare was changed to compact around 1985,
permitting a much bigger fuel tank. Is there any way one of those
larger tanks could be retro-fitted into my '83? And is there an
alternative (and safe) way to add up to 5 gallon capacity?
BTW what's 'WVO'?
