Turn the key on and crank it after the glow plug lamp goes out. From memory
the glow plugs will stay on after startup to help it run smoother. Also the
3 glow plug in the water jacket stay on to help get heat sooner. As to if
the plugs are sticking on... well I guess so but one would need to connect a
volt meter and see if they all go out after the engine is warm
