Well, first off did you get a police report at the time of the
incident? That wouldhelp bolster your claim that to the insurance
company that someone else was at fault.

I'm not sure what you mean by "turn this around on me". If you mean
will they increase your premiums because of the claim...possibly, but
my guess is that it will be much less than the cost of the repairs,
assuming you have an otherwise accident and ticket free record.
