There is another choice... cut taxes and have no deficit. Government
officials have wasted so much money for so long that they think it is
THEIR right to do so. I have no doubt that anyone that has balanced a
checking account could take the budget of any government agency and cut
it substantially WITHOUT greatly affecting their basic function.
